Let me tell you a little bit about myself
Hello, my name is Chris Mart. I am a PhD student with four degrees, two at postgraduate level. In the world of academia I've been there and done it so I know what it's like to study for and pass qualifications. In my work as a private tutor I aim to pass on the skills which have enabled me to tackle some tough and demanding university courses. I've helped many students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and received some very complementary feedback, some of which you can read elsewhere on this site.
I can help with broad-based support such as critical essay writing and dissertation construction but I also specialise in the two areas where I achieved my master's degrees - Creative Writing and Computer Science. I have over twenty years experience in industry where I worked in customer-facing support and have also worked at the University of Derby as a Study Advisor for a number of years.
By deciding to use me as your tutor you can be confident that you will be giving yourself the best possible chance of passing your chosen course and that you will receive advice from an experienced academic who knows what it takes to excel in passing exams and writing essays and dissertations.
Chris has been invaluable to me in helping me pass my master's degree. During the summer my supervisor at the University was unavailable so although I am a Law student Chris was able to help me with the basics of essay writing, how to set out my disseration and how to construct a reasoned argument. I doubt that I would have passed my degree without Chris's expert help.

Proven track record
Many of my students have gone on to great success after my tutorials. A lot of my teaching is about embuing a sense of self-confidence. Once they achieve the qualifications they had hoped for they can take with them a life-long feeling of self-belief backed up by excellent results.

We all face points in our lives when we feel we could benefit from some one-on-one help. It's a matter of knowing that asking for help isn't a sign of weakness but a positive step to achieving one's goals. All my tutorials are undertaken in confidence, away from the student's regular academic environment and ensuring the best possible learning environment.
